Introducing Woodlake Pride 2024: Celebrating Love, Unity, and Diversity!
Get ready to experience a day filled with joy, acceptance, and community spirit at this year's Woodlake Pride event. Join us as we come together to celebrate love in all its beautiful forms and honor the vibrant LGBTQ+ community of Woodlake.
Mark your calendars for the main event on Saturday, September 7th, from 12-4pm at Piney Woods Park. This year’s Woodlake Pride promises an unforgettable lineup of live performances, engaging activities, and heartfelt moments. Enjoy amazing live music, delicious bites from the Chirba Chirba food truck, and a dazzling drag show featuring the fabulous Stormie Daie.
The event is family-friendly, with activities for kids including a playground, face painting, chalk art, bubbles, kids’ music, queer kids’ stories, and a Queen meet and greet. Don’t miss our raffle with fantastic prizes!

Stormie Daie (she/they) is a black non-binary femme from Durham, NC, who has spent a decade entertaining and educating through drag. With a background in Environmental and Ecological Sciences from Elon University, Daie combines her scientific knowledge with her drag persona in “Science with Stormie,” a series that explores the omnipresence of science. As a joy-monger and Drag Story Hour ambassador, Daie creates safe spaces, uplifts black, queer, and trans communities, and passionately educates about drag and queer activism.

Naomi Dix is a dynamic Drag artist from Durham, NC, known for pushing boundaries. Since her debut in March 2014 with House of Coxx, she has been a formidable presence in the Drag scene. As Miss Hispanidad NC 2017, Naomi works closely with the Black and Latin HIV community, earning the title of Latinx Barbie of the Triangle, covering Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and Carrboro. She is the Host, Director, and Producer of “Drag Queens are Coming” at Cat’s Cradle Music Hall, and also hosts the Acme Food & Beverage Brunch show and “DRAG! A Concert Experience” at Motorco Music Hall. Naomi focuses on creating consent-focused spaces for the local Black, Brown, and Queer community, supporting her community through the art of Drag.

- 1:00-2:00 PM: Drag show and queer stories for kids. New to drag? Drag etiquette
- 4:00 PM: Shut down and clean up.
